DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING

               The department of Electronics & Communication Engineering was established in the year 2001.  It has been very well equipped with highly commendable facilities and is effectively guided by a set of devoted and diligent staff members. Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) is a swiftly advancing field, with new ideas emerging every other second. From mobile phones to fiber optics to remote sensing, there are exciting avenues to explore and create even better ideas. With technology becoming all pervasive in everyday life, opportunities for electronic engineers are endless. The ECE department at VJCET prepares students for careers in this constantly evolving discipline. The first batch of ECE students from Viswajyothi passed out in 2005.

- M.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering (VLSI and Embedded System) (2-years)

               The department has around 420 students and about 27 teaching staff and 8 non teaching staffs.. The department consistently organizes External Seminars and Symposiums, Internal Seminars, Short Term Training Programs, Faculty Development Programs sponsored by AICTE - ISTE.

 GOAL

          Our goals of engineering education include acquisition of technical exposure, nurturing of career improvement / advancement as well as the personality development of our young engineering scholars. For personality development more emphasis is laid on the development of general, intellectual, human and social qualities which are necessary for the successful practice of the profession. The laboratory facilities were constantly upgraded to take care of the technological developments in the areas of Electronics and Telecommunications.

          Department is in process of establishment of Center of Excellence in the fields like Electronics, Communication Engg., VLSI and Embedded Systems.
