PRINCIPAL
Dr. Naveen Jacob earned his B.Tech. in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Mar Athanasius College of Engineering, Kothamangalam, in 1999. He began his academic career on January 29, 2003, as a Lecturer in the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering at Viswajyothi College of Engineering & Technology, Vazhakulam. In 2007, he took study leave to pursue an M.Tech. with a specialization in “Communication Engineering” at the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal, returning to his duties in 2009.
Following his promotion to Assistant Professor in 2010, Dr. Jacob was appointed Vice Principal of the college in 2013. In 2017, he pursued doctoral studies at NITK Surathkal, focusing his research on “Metamaterial Inspired Reconfigurable Antenna for Cognitive Radio Applications.”.
Upon being awarded his PhD in 2022, he was promoted to Associate Professor and appointed Head of the Department of ECE. In April 2026, he was elevated to the rank of Professor and currently serves as the Principal of Viswajyothi College of Engineering & Technology.
