The Department of Science and Humanities at Viswajyothi College of Engineering and Technology is committed to equipping a wide spectrum of students, encompassing those embarking on engineering, hotel management, and MBA programmes, to excel in their undergraduate and postgraduate examinations conducted by Kerala Technological University. Comprised of a team of exceptionally skilled, seasoned, and accomplished faculty members, the department is dedicated to its mission of mentoring students, fostering their readiness for the industry, enhancing employability, and preparing them to thrive in the competitive global job market. The department covers a wide spectrum of disciplines, including Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Communicative English, and Economics. The faculty members, with their extensive research expertise in frontier areas, prioritize an individualistic approach to education, offering remedial classes for students in need and fostering comprehensive development of their skills and knowledge. Students are afforded the chance to utilise the chemistry lab, physics lab and language lab for their comprehensive learning experience. Furthermore, the Department actively engages in both basic and applied research through various research and development projects undertaken by the R&D Department of VJCET.

ENGINEERING CHEMISTRY LAB
Students are given opportunities to handle Potentiometers, Conductivity meters, pH meters and several other apparatus used in laboratory experiments.Students get in-depth knowledge about different experiments through these lab sessions.The lab is mainly utilized by first year students of all departments. The lab can accommodate a batch of 32 students.

LANGUAGE LAB
Language lab is a platform used to integrate technology in language learning. It aims at developing the communication skills of students through the use of technology and online resources.As part of language teaching and skills training , we use a specialised software named ‘ Tell Me More ’ that has different kinds of exercises for listening, speaking, reading and writing.The lab has 60 computers, all equipped with head phones.
