Preface
Skill development and competency enhancement are essential aspects of personal and professional growth. Continuously improving skills and competencies of students not only enhances their current performance but also prepares them for future challenges and opportunities. Skill development is a continuous process, and staying proactive in enhancing skill and competencies will contribute to long-term success and fulfilment in the chosen field. Realising the relevance and importance of Skill Development & Competency Enhancement Division is constituted at Viswajyothi college Engineering and Technology in the year 2022 and Fr. Babu Puthenkulam Mathew was appointed as the Coordinator.

Fr. Babu P. Mathew was born 23-May-1982 and hails from the village Neyyassery near Thodupuzha. He had his primary education from St. Sebastian’s High School Neyyassery and Technical Higher Secondary School Thodupuzha. He was graduated B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering from College of Engineering Thiruvananthapuram (CET) in the year 2004. After graduation he has worked as Design Engineer for five years in Essae Digitronics Private Limited and Integrated Process Automation Limited. Both the companies are into weighing and automation systems and located in Bangalore. On 2010, he joined for priestly studies for the Diocese of Kothamangalam. He completed B. Ph. (Bachelor in Philosophy) in 2012 and B. Th. (Bachelor in Theology) in 2016. He was ordained priest for the Dicoese of Kothamangalam on 03-Jan-2023. He was Assistant Parish Priest at Kalloorkad, Vannappuram, Nediyasala, Nakapuzha parishes in the Eparchy of Kothamangalam. In 2022 he completed his MBA in Finance and Marketing. Presently he is a faculty member in the Department of Management Studies of Viswajyothi College of Engineering and Technology. Currently he pursues his research in Management Studies.
