KIRF’s comprehensive evaluation enables us to continuously enhance our educational standards, ensuring a top-tier learning experience for our students. By aligning with KIRF’s criteria, we strive to uphold and exceed the highest benchmarks of quality in higher education. KIRF is an initiative of Kerala State Higher Education Council (KSHEC). Our Institution has submitted the application process for KIRF.

The Kerala State Higher Education Council (KSHEC) is the principal advisory and coordinating body for higher education in the State of Kerala, established under the Kerala State Higher Education Council Act, 2007. KSHEC works closely with the Department of Higher Education, universities, colleges, and other stakeholders to shape policy, enhance academic standards, and promote equitable access to quality higher education across the State. Through initiatives such as accreditation support, research fellowships, skill development programmes, and state-level surveys, KSHEC strives to make Kerala’s higher education ecosystem inclusive, dynamic, and globally competitive.

As part of its commitment to institutional excellence, KSHEC has developed and implemented the Kerala Institutional Ranking Framework (KIRF) — an annual, state-level ranking system for higher education institutions in Kerala. KIRF provides a comprehensive, objective assessment of institutions based on a set of well-defined academic and institutional performance parameters that reflect both national best practices and Kerala’s unique educational priorities. Institutions across all disciplines — including engineering, management, sciences, teacher education, pharmacy, medicine, law, architecture, nursing and more — can participate in KIRF by submitting verified data through the official KIRF portal. Participation helps institutions benchmark their performance, identify areas for improvement, and gain academic recognition at the state level, while also preparing them for wider national and global ranking systems
KIRF evaluates participating institutions under five broad parameter groups:
Viswajyothi College of Engineering and Technology stands as a transformative force in technical education shaping future-ready professionals and equipping aspiring youth to thrive in an increasingly dynamic global landscape. Our institution is an active participant in the NIRF ranking process, reflecting our commitment to academic excellence and institutional integrity. The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) was approved by the MHRD and launched by Honourable Minister of Human Resource Development on 29th September 2015. NIRF framework outlines a methodology to rank institutions across the country. The methodology draws from the overall recommendations broad understanding arrived at by a Core Committee set up by MHRD, to identify the broad parameters for ranking various universities and institutions. The parameters broadly cover “Teaching, Learning and Resources,” “Research and Professional Practices,” “Graduation Outcomes,” “Outreach and Inclusivity,” and “Perception”. Our Institution has submitted the registration process for NIRF.
