Bachelors Degree in Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT) is a four-year professional degree that aims to prepare students for a successful career in the hospitality sector. During the course, students will develop the skills and attitude for employability in the hospitality, tourism and related sectors. Students will undergo one semester for industrial training where they will get appropriate industry experience. The VJCET internship network includes major international brands such as JW Marriott Marquis Dubai, The Meydan Dubai, Atlantis the Palm Dubai, IHG Hotels & Resorts ,ITC Welcome Group etc. The BHMCT Course is a pure blend of class room teaching and industry-oriented operations for complete learning and best placement.

The programme will follow the syllabus prescribed by APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (KTU) to which the institution is affiliated. The approved intake capacity is of 90 students per batch.

The Food Production Department at VJCET incorporates state of the art lab facilities for experiential learning. The 1800 sq ft Basic Training kitchen is fully equipped with modern catering equipment’s and appliances.
Quantity Food production encompasses the preparation of large quantity of dishes ranging from appetizers, to curries , grill, and snacks
A 40 seater fine dine training restaurant with bar which is specially designed for educational environment, where students learn the art of fine dine service and culinary practices. The restaurant is equipped with facilities to teach and train students in the international standards of food and beverage service and mixology
The Front Office lab is elegantly designed in the form of a hotel lobby to provide practical exposure of working in the front office department of a Five-star hotel. The lab is also equipped with PMS Software
The Housekeeping lab at the Viswajyothi College of Engineering and Technology comprises of a modern Suite room as well as a Mock room of 450 sq ft, where the students are taken through the housekeeping procedures such as bed making, turndown service, and laundry.
COMPUTER LAB
The Computer Lab is used to train students in basics of computers which includes creating excel worksheets, designing and running of micros, designing PowerPoint presentation, creating word documents and using mail merge, and industry software includes creating tables, using validations, designing queries/forms/reports and normalization of tables. The computer lab has a seating capacity of 50 students. And is equipped with an overhead projector.

The Department of Hotel Management organised an expert talk on Green Investment by the Chief Guest followed by the logo launch of Tourism club. Thereafter a Tourism based Quiz competition was organised for the students of Hotel Management
